Field Trips
What better way to investigate the universe, to find out how and why things work the way they do than to roll up your sleeves and explore for yourself? Imagine the look on the faces of your students as they discover how electric currents travel through different materials, or how air pressure helps keep objects afloat. These discoveries and more are waiting to be revealed at the DSP! We offer field trips for schools year round. Here’s what you need to know:
- ♦ $7 per child; $9 for parents (reduced rate from normal admission)
- ♦ DSP memberships cannot be applied for field-trip visits; siblings that accompany parents must pay field trip admission.
- ♦ Minimum of 30 students
- ♦ One Complimentary Admission (Teacher or Chaperone) for every 10 students.
- ♦ Bus drivers never pay admission!
- ♦ Please reserve your trip at least one week in advance. (Dates book quickly!)

Educational Programming
Enhance your groups visit with one of our fun educational programming sessions. These creative programs reinforce what students learn from our exhibits, or in the classroom. Customized programs available -dinosaurs, human body, electricity, dry ice, more! BRAND NEW: our Discovery Dome planetarium can now bring the wonders of the universe to your group visit! Cost is only an additional $2.00 per student.
