MAKE MAKE on Saturday, June 18 will be an extraordinarily exciting day at Discovery Science Place when engineers from TRANE will be onsite showing off their Maker skills with some fascinatingly cool experiments. Thank you Innovation Pipeline for loaning us your laser cutter so TRANE can show off their skills!
MAKE Designs Include:
- Paper Airplane Launcher/Catapult – demonstrates how electricity, through the principle of induction, can be used to launch items into flight.
- Vacuum Chamber – demonstrates the relationship between pressure and temperature, along with some fun experiments with marshmallows.
- Circuit Board Soldering Booth – allows hands on experience soldering electrical components onto a PCB board creating a battery powered pin with a flashing light.
- Laser Cutter – allow guests see how a laser cutter cuts wood to create a key chain fob from preselected designs and use the laser to cut them out of wood to take home!
