East Texas Giving Day April 24

The Discovery Science Place will once again participate in East Texas Giving Day, April 24th from 6:00 a.m. to midnight.

What is it? East Texas Giving Day is an 18-hour day of giving that provides funding to nonprofit, community organizations like us.

Why give? Your generous support makes a meaningful difference as we “ignite curiosity in young minds”. One example of something YOUR GIFT helps support is our scholarship program.

Just imagine if we could fund as many as 50 more camp scholarships!

With your help, we can provide a way for more kids to attend our camps where they will experience fun, hands-on learning during their school break!

Genesis and Deja, pictured here, joined us us for the first time last summer thanks to a full camp scholarship. Neither of these young girls had ever visited the museum before, and their families would not have been able to afford the cost of our summer camp otherwise. Kids like Genesis and Deja deserve the chance to experience the fun, hands-on learning that our camps offer!
