A new exhibit at Tyler’s Discovery Science Place is gaining popularity with East Texans of all ages. “Orion – Journey to Mars,” an exhibit on NASA’s new four-astronaut space capsule, is on display with hands-on components for guests, as well as a full-size model of the inside of the capsule. The exhibit also includes a miniature robot rover on Mars that can be controlled by a remote. Discovery Science Place Executive Director Chris Rasure said the exhibit will be long-standing due to NASA’s development on crewed missions with the Orion being in its infancy.

“For the next three, four, five or a dozen years it will be in the news and it will be something we can continually update,” Rasure said.
