Nathaniel Fino, 12, from Longview TX announced as Grand Finalist of East Texas area Trash to Treasure contest

Shawn Fox, 12, of Bullard and Grayson Bingham, 8, of Tyler area are alternate finalists of the East Texas area Trash to Treasure contest. All can go on to compete in the PBS national Trash to Treasure contest for a chance to be on the Emmy and Peabody Award winning series Design Squad! Michael Shanklin, Executive Director of Discovery Science Place presents award packages to all.

WE NEED VOLUNTEERS! With the help of volunteers, Discovery Science Place impacts over 60,000 guests annually.

Adults and College Volunteers needed, High School Students welcome to apply. Volunteer!  Share your time, knowledge and skills with the families of East Texas.

Discovery Science Place is a hands-on family science museum that provides cool and exciting educational experiences for kids of all ages.

We're currently looking to expand our GUEST SERVICES team by adding part-time personnel. We offer a flexible work schedule with daytime hours available seven days a week.
