Groups

The Discovery Science Place is a great place for your group events. We have a broad range of activities and space that is sure to appeal to any group. To qualify for a group rate of $4 per person, your group must meet the following criteria

minimum of 15 children with one adult chaperone for every ten children.
reservations must be made in a minimum of 24 hours in advance

Bring your students to Discovery Science Place to experience hands-on learning and fun!
Our exhibits teach about physics, dinosaurs, geology, history, and community in a way that ignites a child’s curiosity. Call us to find out how a trip to Discovery Science Place could enhance your school, day care, church, special interest, or homeschool group.

Please reserve your trip one week in advance.
Discounted rates are available for groups of 15 or more.
One Complimentary Admission (Teacher or Chaperone) for every 10 students. (We recommend one adult chaperone for every seven children.)

Does your group have special needs? No problem just give us a call!

Want to join us for lunch? We have rooms that can accommodate your groups and we provide the clean up. Cost is $1 additional per person.

Enhance your groups visit with one of our hands-on workshops or labs. These creative programs reinforce what students learn from our exhibits, or in the classroom. Customized programs available. Cost is an additional $1.00 per person.

Pre-K – 2nd Programming includes the Stuffee health & nutrition program, dinosaurs, simple machines, color and more!
3rd – 5th Programming includes space & astronomy, energy, the science of music and more!
6th – 8th Programming includes CSI, human body, ecology, geology, chemistry, energy, force, motion and more!

Many of our programs are designed to include the use of arts and creativity to promote critical thinking, problem solving, STEM engagement and higher level thinking skills. Ask us about them!

Available from 6pm-11pm. Includes pizza dinner and admission to the museum exhibit halls.
To qualify for the group rate, you must:

make reservations a minimum of 2 weeks in advance
children ages 6-12

Costs and Deposits

$25 per person
additional $10 programming fee per participant
$100 non refundable deposit required to save the date

Available from 6pm-8am. Includes pizza dinner, late night snack and continental breakfast. Admission also includes museum exhibit halls, movie in the Ship’s Theater, and an overnight stay in one of the museum’s halls.

To qualify for the group rate, you must:

make reservations a minimum of 2 weeks in advance
children ages 6-12
